Shari is the Associate Dean of Admissions at Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business, with a diverse background in private, public, and nonprofit sectors, and a commitment to social impact through leadership, community engagement, and animal rescue. 

LaManda Pryor

Vice-Chair

LaManda is an educational leader, children's advocate, and founder of Pryor 2 Consulting, LLC, with over 26 years of experience, serving her community through innovative educational methods, advocacy roles, and leadership in organizations like Empower Dance Foundation and Hayti Reborn Justice Movement.

 

Deidra Lewis

Secretary

 Deidra, a Durham native and retired UPS corporate manager with expertise in international call center deployment, is passionate about volunteerism, youth development, and leadership in organizations like United Way and Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.

Adrienne Massey

Treasurer

Adrienne, Director of Construction Loan Management for Clearinghouse CDFI, brings 17 years of real estate expertise to her role as Treasurer of Empower Dance Foundation, where she ensures financial resources align with its mission to serve the community.

Meredythe, Principal of Holmes Consultants and founding Executive Director of Made in Durham, has dedicated her career to workforce development, youth education, and community enrichment through leadership roles and her expertise in staffing and career counseling. 

Christina Oxendine

Scholarship Committee

 Christina Oxendine is a data and analytics professional with over 10 years of experience in process improvement and business strategy, dedicated to becoming a people leader while actively contributing to the Empower Dance Foundation to empower children in their pursuits.

Malcom Riley

Corporate Engagement

 Malcom is an executive coach and corporate educator with over 15 years of experience in helping individuals and organizations achieve their aspirations through holistic solutions tailored to the modern workplace, currently serving at Ayasphere, Inc.

Laura Windley

Governance Committee

 Laura is an attorney at Hatley Law Office and a jazz vocalist and bandleader of the Mint Julep Jazz Band, actively engaging in the local swing dance community as an event organizer, live music coordinator, DJ, and occasional instructor.

Jessica Womack
Fundraising Committee

 Jessica holds a Ph.D. in Art and Archaeology, along with graduate certificates in African American studies and Latin American studies, and has a strong background in donor cultivation, having previously held curatorial and programming roles at the Hood Museum of Art and the Museum of Modern Art.

Kimberly Hames

Strategic Planning

Kimberly is a Health Tech Innovator and leader of the Deloitte Government & Public Services ETHOS team, with 20 years of experience using equity-centered design to enhance consumer health through innovative products and programs for organizations like the CDC, J&J, and Weight Watchers.

Deborah Felder

Scholarship Committee

Deborah holds a Bachelor's in Biological Sciences and a Master's in Student Personnel and Guidance, with a 20-year career in higher education and experience as a marketing representative at IBM, now serving as a Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams while actively contributing to the dance community as a board member.
