Annual Recital 'Dance is Life'

Feel alive, exhilarated, and Empowered at the spring outdoor dance recital, "Dance Is Life" on June 15, 2021 at the historic, newly renovated Durham Athletic Park in the heart of downtown Durham on 500 West Corporation Street.

The spring recital serves as a major fundraising event for the Foundation, with the goal of providing scholarships to any aspiring dancer who otherwise would not be able to experience the joy of dance.

Financial assistance scholarships are awarded to deserving youth to take dance classes at Empower Dance Studio located in the heart of downtown Durham, NC. The Studio offers a full range of dance classes for students of all ages and abilities. Committed to the personal growth of each student, the instructors blend quality technical training with classes designed to appreciate each student’s body, mind, and spirit.

The Empower Dance Foundation invites the community to get outside with the entire family,  enjoy the sun, breathe, feel alive, and Just Dance!  Let the movement take control.
